The Devil Inside are group of oneshots and stories that are essentially unrelated, but all center around Tom Riddle Jr. and Lord Voldemort one way or another and explore various aspects of his personality. However, you do not have to read them all as a set in order to understand them, as they are all different stories. Personally I am of opinion that while Lord Voldemort and Tom Riddle have this amazing backstory in the books, he was not a very multidimensional character, and in fact was sort of the trademark “panto” villain.
He was perfect in canon in this role, but seeing a great actor like Fiennes portray him, and reading interviews where he talked about how he played him, really made me want to write him as more, to give him more places to go.
