Summary: Childhood friends Sakura, Sasuke, and Nauto are inseparable, so when they’re ditching class and hanging out on the rooftop, they witness a zombie attack at the front of the school. As the ever growing group tries to survive a zombie pandemic, as well as facing additional threats like societal collapse and dangerous fellow survivors all the while struggling with the decay of their own moral codes.
Shinigami Wars was originally inspired by “Highschool of the Dead” but as I worked on it I began the borrow elements from “The Tribe“, one of my favorite tv-series when I was young. Then a friend of mine pointed out a comic called The Walking Dead and tv-series based on it and well
Shinigami Wars takes place in a fictional present day Japan, beginning as the world is struck by a deadly pandemic that turns humans into zombies, euphemistically referred to as “Shinigami”, after the zombies of a popular within the story called Shinigami Wars, among other names.
The second part of the story which takes place five years after part I has ended. The world has become a primitive hell of anarchy, confusion, danger and fear were the survivors of the world are on their own and try to build a New World they can live in. More then in part one survivors are confronted with growing problems in the form of technology (how to get clean water and some form of power) or rather the lack of it.
